I love the game, but the Meddler class needs to either be put a few ranks up or have a Bones side removed. Deeply irritating class that gets in the way of my enjoying the game. Otherwise highly recommended!
Meddler is perfect
Meddler's an interesting one - it's one of the weakest T1 heroes on its own but it's one of the strongest if you can cover up the bones sides, which isn't that hard to find a item for.
The bones sides also aren't as bad as they seem. Sure, assuming you only have Burst it takes 4 mana to remove the bones and it only gives you 1 mana, but they don't attack the turn they're summoned. So you can use that mana killing things that are actually going to kill you this turn and deal with the bones later. And when you do, you get a bonus 2 damage killing the bones (assuming something else has been summoned above them). So summoning a bones is really a net loss of 1 damage as a tradeoff for getting to get that damage now and pay it back later.

I have been loving and actively playing every since, and now with the steam release, is there any way to get it on steam without paying again? If not, I am actually willing to pay again to support you, but the only thing that would encourage me to do so is if you could port all of the in game achievements to steam. I love collecting achievements and this would be really great, is this planned in the future?

The latest update is fantastic, you did really a great work!! I want tò propose an idea, a "mercy" reset, I see the point in not allowing the initial infinite reroll but after... I don't know... 30 tries could you consider allowing a new reroll? I know you can reset It also playing with other modes...but with brutal for example Is easy to have an unplayable selection in many modes

I bought it a year ago to play on my Steamdeck, but I couldn't get the game to work (since it's not on Linux and no Windows compatibility layer seemed to work). Luckily it still worked great on Android.
Do you have plans to make a Linux version or does anyone know how to get the game to work on the Steamdeck?
I know the Steam version exists now too, but I don't want to buy the game another time.
You can run the game on Linux with "java -jar dice.jar", if you have, e.g. OpenJDK Runtime Environment installed. Since I do not have a Steamdeck, I can't test it, but it should work.
fantastic game! small question: is there a way to lock the game in landscape mode on mobile? it’s harder to play now that I need to turn on my phone’s rotation and hold it carefully to not accidentally rotate back to portrait mode. I’m on v3.0.15 on android
Spider soul feels incredibly hard to play around for a level 3 curse. Between multiple eggs spawning on turn 1, or having blessings that make enemies hurt themselves. 9 times out of 10 it just feels like a run ender.
How do I update without losing progress?
If you mean achievements—
1. Options > Modding > Tick copy button.
2. Ledger > Click copy achievements.
3. Either paste it somewhere safe or let it stay in the clipboard.
4. Update the game.
5. Click load achievements after you copied the saved achievements to clipboard.
I transfer achievements done on PC to Android phones this way. I just message myself the achievement thing to my WhatsApp web, and have it on my Android phones.
Hi tann, regarding the itch app install process:
Your installer creates a file named "images" and a directory named "images" in the same folder (in this order) which seems to be the cause of the (first) roadblock
AppData\Roaming\itch\apps\slice-dice\jre\lib
maybe rename the file to something like images.XY ? :)
First, thank you for the wonderful game! I have a maybe insignificant thing to ask; the game's windows exe file does not have an icon. I handled it myself and made an icon, but it would still be great if the exe file has one assigned by default :)
Just got a new phone, is there a way I can transfer all my achievements/unlocks?
Go to the achievements page and scroll down till you see copy achievements, send it to yourself. On your new device go to load achievements.

I wish the cursed itens sometimes had a " if not equiped afect all heroes" instead of the "must be equiped".
I downloaded for iOS off of tann.itch.io about 35 days ago and it works great but I can't seem to get the v3.0 update. Where do I get it? Sorry if you've already answered this.

Thanks. I didn’t plan it but the outcome seems correct. -3 levelup choices means you cannot even choose random levelup.
Every time I install this with the itch.io launcher it doesn't work - it just prompts me to install it again. Any idea why this is happening?

I have 2 curse, Heavy Dice C2, Slippery Dice C2 so now i cant lock more than 2, and also cant spin more than 2 :D SO the game just ended for me now, needed to restart. Can you please exluce this situation pls? :D

for some reason, after a unlock i don't remember, i can no longer just select skip on normal mode. it just gives me a blessing, a curse, and a tweak. no skip in sight.
Found out why, complex hard/easy was on and messing things up for normal, somehow

Just FYI, the jar for windows works perfectly fine on Linuxes as well.
The Itch desktop program wasn't updating, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. It looks like I've lost all my progress. Is S&D progress stored in the local install directory? (as opposed to my profile) or was progress wiped for the Steam release version?
I bought this twice when it came out on here and also when it came out on mobile. Id like to have the Steam version but definitely dont wanna pay for it a 3rd time, thats a bit much lol. if there was a code to get it on steam free for people who already paid at launch that would be great.
Awesome game, I bought about a year ago and believe it was worth every penny, infact this is easily on par with other games I've spent $15 on. That being said, I would love to have the full game on both Steam and iOS which would be another 19$ bucks (obv for the 'full unlock' on iOS) and I do realize there is no difference between the Steam version and the version in my itch.io library, thats mostly just a QoL decision - so if nothing can be done again I truly believe this game is worth its money and BUT if there were some way to get keys or discounts for either version that would be amazing =)

Feel the same way, some discount for us who bought it along time ago would be awesome. I would like to have it on steam android via the Google play store. The android dl on here won’t auto update through it so it’s annoying to come here to update all the time.
Or if there was way to have a code (cd key, some some unique game I’d key thing) in game that would allow us to link our itchio purchase so we can use the steam/android (via play store) versions without a second purchase could be another way to do it.
