Hey @tann love the game and I was wondering if:

-You are planning to bring the game to Iphone in the future

-If there are any further updates planned or if you are done with the game

I know you probably get asked those questions a lot so sorry about that! Thanks

Definitely one of the better games I've played recently.  The game looks nice and has nice sound effects and a ton of variety.  The way the game works is great having your opponent roll first and see what they do and having a chance to respond is really fun trying to optimize the turn.  This game is very difficult and I'm having trouble getting to level 20 even on easy which is a bit frustrating but I get closer the more I play and the more I'm familiar with how things work and the random upgrades and level ups you get.  My only request from the dev is to add the program Icon to the files because right now it's only loaded with the program and shows in the taskbar but it isn't on the file icon in explorer and currently putting it on the desktop looks a bit ugly and unprofessional.  This is the only change I would urge the dev to do to make the game that little more professional.  Otherwise 10/10, everything works well and looks great.  It's a simple game with tons of variety done very well.

Any idea how to make the rolling dice sides not black/untextured?

Would appreciate a linux build. For now I'm able to get a hacky solution working however.

Yes, Linux build please!

(+1)

Did you also compile the libgdx and use the macOs jar?
I was thinking of creating a github repo with a wrapper and some instruction.

(1 edit) (+1)

how did you get it to work? I ran the demo no problem but not the release after purchasing it X(
using latest proton GE

Will this come out for IPhone?

I love the game, but: I don't really get why Hexia is so overtuned. I've had runs where I just quit if he shows up on floor 20 rather than the dragon because I know my party won't be able to take him.

Sure the dragon does a lot of damage but aside from the occasional poison it's just raw damage. In comparison, Hexia does slightly less damage with attacks but throws around pain, petrify, counter damage, counter damage on his adds, counter damage when you cast spells, and adds with 12 base hp.

Some of these are hard counters to specific parties and you have no idea what final boss you're going to get.

Love the update! Is there a preferred place to report a bug I saw ( with screenshot) or drop some minor balance feedback?

Hey tann, this game is a masterpiece, in fact, it is the first game I ever buy.
I'm an Eng-Spa translator, message me if you're interested in the complete translation of the game

Will the game ever get Mod support of any kind? Being able to have custom items, heros, monsters, and maybe even keywords would be incredibly fun.

Also, an endless generator mode, or endless raid/loot mode could be super fun! This game is amazing, and i cannot wait for the next update

Down to the final move on the final level 🐲 what a great game!

I lost in this same scenario by 1 health point on the dragon when i died

The new update is just INCREDIBLE. I'm amazed at what you've done with the game, this is unironically my GOTY contender right now.

Could you make it easier to synch your progress between devices?

My idea would be a uniquely generated code that you could input in your other device to permanently connect their progress. (Better than copy and pasting a large string between devices in my opinion)

I would love to know how to connect my two accounts.  I bought a copy on my phone and loved it so much I wanted to stream it and bought the game on my computer.  I have many hours already on my phone but fresh account on my computer.

The game already has that functionality.
You click on the book, and go to STATS under Unlocks. Then scroll down and there is copy and load achievements which copy and paste from your clipboard.
You will need to figure out how you will transfer that clipboard from your phone to your computer yourself.

I am a big roguelike enthousiast and I consider myself very picky. Nonetheless, this became my favourite roguelike of all time. From all my heart, thanks to tann and a3um for their amazing work.

Here are some details on what I love about this game:

- Extremely high replay value.

- Ergonomically perfect, both on phone and computer.

- Smooth progression curve, easy to learn but hard to master.

- Gorgeous artstyle, strong visual identity, great animations.

- Very good concept and game design. It's pretty unique!

- All in all, very well polished game. I can tell this was designed to provide the best experience possible.

I love the game so much that I would not mind buying a paid DLC in the future, even if it does not add a ton of content.

As a developer myself, this is going to become the quality standard I'd like to reach for my future games (I'm not kidding!)

Also, if you need help for a French translation, I can provide one for free.

I finally got around to checking out the 2.0 release of the game, and I have to say I'm a big fan!

Is it possible for a game to be too good? Lost my whole Sunday to this one and I expect work will be a bust tomorrow 😁

any chance we get this on IOS? I bought it for android but switched to iPhone and I miss this game!

(+1)

i feel your pain...if i go to android i lose cinco paus! michael brough games on ios might sooth your ailment <3

Saw this on Into The Aether and loved it, really enjoying it so far! Fantastic game, really scratches that roguelike card/dice game itch

(+1)

I'm in love with this game BUT my computer has some issues and it blue screened. I've been playing the game for 3 days and it blue screened while I was mid game and when I come back ALL of my progress is lost, is there a way to get it all back?

(+4)

no, it is lost.

I am working on a solution to this but I don't know if it will work

(+3)

Alright, love the game so I don't really mind doing it all again but for anyone else that has a problem with their computer crashing, you should click on the book in the main menu and copy your achievements and toss it in a notepad or something after youre done so you have a backup of your progress.

Been enjoying the game on Windows so far, wanted to give it a try on Android. I'm hoping there's a way to transfer my unlock progress for heroes/modes?

(+3)

I absolutely love this game. I've already spent way too long on my phone playing it. And that's actually the problem. There's not enough battery on my phone. Is there any way that I can swap my progress between platforms? Thanks for the amazing game!

(+2)

Yes, check the unlocks section

(+1)

Can anyone help me out with this problem? The dice faces aren't displaying properly and all of them show up blank.

(+3)

I got the demo running on Steam Deck, but there might be something funny with the zip file. The KDE Ark tool would not create a "jre" subfolder, but would extract the files within it with filenames like "jre\bin\java.dll". I got around this issue by using the command line unzip tool. With the files correctly extracted that way, I was able to add SliceAndDice.exe into Steam as a non-Steam game, set it to run with Proton, change the control profile to "mouse only" and then the game seems to be playable.

I hope that helps those who want to play the game on Steam Deck.

(+4)

Id love a linux version

(+1)

has any body managed to get this working on the steam deck i tried to get the demo to work but it wouldnt

(+3)

*sigh* Why did you give Hexia Mana-Burn? She wasn't enough of a pain in the rear? I don't mind the swingier RNG in 2.0, but Hexia is BS.

(+3)

linux
